Police & Community Meetings

Kings Cross Police and Community Meetings

The Kings Cross Police hold quarterly community meetings at which they present crime statistics for the last quarter and answer questions from the community in the suburbs Kings Cross, Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Woolloomooloo and Darlinghurst.

All members of the community are welcome to attend.

These meetings are a great opportunity for local residents to raise any police related issues with the Commander of the LAC (Local Area Command).

If you would like to attend please can you contact the Kings Cross Crime Prevention Officer on 02 8356 0099 and advise if you have any items you wish to be added to the meeting agenda. All members of the community are welcome.

The details of the next meetings are below:

Rex Centre, 58A Macleay Street, Potts Point
(Enter via arcade next to Maggies Restaurant, opposite Fitzroy Gardens and near Baroda Street.)

– Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, meetings have been cancelled until further notice.

I agree with the recent proposal for Kings Cross businesses to pay for policing due to the problems caused to the community by those businesses, such as alcohol related violence.

This would free up taxpayer funded resources for residents.
