311 Bus Action Update
1. Postcards to the Premier
Thanks to those who assisted with the stall at the Kings Cross Market on Saturday. There was an overwhelmingly positive response with close to 300 cards addressed by residents and postage paid for by donations. Some local businesses still have some cards so if you missed out on Saturday, you may still be able to participate. All cards should be posted this week.
2. Lee Rhiannon Emergency Debate on 311
Lee Rhiannon from the Greens Party will attempt to introduce an emergency debate in the Legislative Council on Wednesday the 17th June, some time after 11 am.
It is essential that the Legislative Council members below support her motion or there will not be a debate. We are meeting with the Councillors on Tuesday and are hopeful of their support, but we need you to send emails or letters to them so they understand our concerns. (Gordon Moyes is already on side).
Please write before Tuesday if possible. The critical members are:
Roy Smith 9230 2850 email@example.com
Robert Brown 9230 3059 firstname.lastname@example.org
Gordon Moyes 9230 2470 email@example.com
Fred Nile 9230 3338 F.Nile@parliament.nsw.gov.au
If you are free on Wednesday, come to Parliament House to the Legislative Council to listen to Ms Rhiannon and hopefully, to hear the motion debated, and passed! The motion asks for the reinstatement of the Ithaca, Billyard, Onslow loop and a stop at the Quay and improved service frequency.
